   All four ¿ì²¥³ÉÈËÍø campuses have earned the 2016 Tree Campus USA® designation by the Arbor Day Foundation. This is the first year for the Metro, Southeast and West campuses to receive the recognition and the fifth year for the Northeast Campus to receive the recognition.

4. ¿ì²¥³ÉÈËÍø Names T.W. Shannon as 2017 Commencement Speaker

   Former Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives T.W. Shannon will deliver the keynote address at the 47th annual ¿ì²¥³ÉÈËÍø Commencement Ceremony. Shannon was the first Chickasaw and first African-American to become Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2013 and the youngest at the age of 34.
